In the summer of 2021, we were commissioned by Queer LifeSpace, an organization in the Castro dedicated to providing LGBTQ+ mental health services, to create a mural celebrating the resilience, history, and diversity of the queer community. The design features influential LGBTQ+ icons, including Diana Ross, Harvey Milk, Sylvia Rivera, Marsha P. Johnson, Tom of Finland, and beloved San Francisco drag legend Juanita MORE!. A brick referencing the Stonewall Riots is woven into the composition as a symbol of resistance and the fight for LGBTQ+ liberation
