“Friego” is a large-scale mural on South Van Ness Avenue in San Francisco, CA, developed as part of the “Latinx Queerness” grant project funded by the San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC).
This work centers visibility and pride for immigrant communities and Queer, transgender, and non-binary people of color. Rooted in the cultural history of the Mission District, the mural contributes to the ongoing revitalization of the commercial corridor while honoring the layered identities that shape the neighborhood.
